SPEEDY
We had a Carp comp at our local Dam to raise money for the QLD floods, all in all it was a great day fishing with some mates with some good fish caught. Took out 2nd place for biggest fish (11lbs) and caught a bunch between 4-6lbs, not bad considering that we were only at it for 4 hours or so. But the new spot that we found is a real producer and at least 5 more would have hit the bank if my 2nd rod was heavier, sadly due to the rod being too soft (my bream and soft plastic rod) it just couldn't set a hook right. But now that we know were onto a good thing we will be heading back there a lot more I think

leeds chimp
 its different in Oz as the carp in a way like the UK are an introduced species but it causes alot of problems in the ecosystem over there same as in USA....
