wayne78
Hi Everyone, Just wondered if anyone has tried 'Surefire Earpro SP4' ear plugs? I've seen them on the internet and the description says they allow normal hearing/conversation and protect hearing from gunfire noise. Question is do they actually work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Wayne
grousemoor
I've got Peltor ear defenders. You can turn up volume to hear conversations, etc but they protect you from the noise of the gun. They were about £100 on the internet, many gun shops charge £150 though. They also keep your ears warm and hat on!
Wookie
I have a pair, actually two pairs (one is the previous model) and they work quite well. There is some damping on normal sound levels, but they are better than using Army issue Peltors when using blanks (you can actually hear people shout) and they work well enough when shooting clays. They also don't annoy me as much as over-ears as they do not get in the way of hats/stock/etc
