  1. Thanks for the heads up gonna record it and watch it at a more godly hour. Its Virgin channel 155 for those not on Sky.
  2. Would a 'head over' be any good?
  3. I used some piping for the hanger with a C cell battery or large bolt taped to the end as a counter balance. For a lofting pole i've got a telescopic shower curtain pole with a cut down drinks bottle on the end, pop the battery into the bottle and bobs your mothers brother. It's not all that long but it reaches far enough up my mates cherry trees in his orchard.
  4. Everyones banging on about him being assaulted what about the verbal assault he was giving to the guard & in front off little ones too? I'd like to think if my old man was getting grief off some oxygen thief like that someone would give him a hand. The Daily Record quotes him as saying 'I did have a ticket but I must have handed over the wrong one to the conductor' so where was the correct ticket then and why didnt he hand it over before it esculated to this state? Because he was taking the **** thats why and wasnt even sorry when he got caught
  5. Good on you Definitely the right thing to do there's a big difference between a smack and beating. As for the 'into the care system' arguement the OP isn't responsible for how social services are run in this country and had to deal with the situation in front of him i.e. to protect the child. And the 'christmas' arguement, what the hell does it matter what day of the year it is if you're mother's beating seven shades of **** out of you?
  6. We used to shoot clays from the flight deck onboard frigates and destroyers when I was in the Navy and talking to mates who are still in it still takes place. As for shooting in uk waters, in my current job at the Port of London we grant licences for boats to hold clay shoots on the river at Thamesmead. These are held pretty regularly and the Met police are informed when one is taking place for obvious reasons.
  7. We went to ours 5 years ago when the Mrs had our first and I remember thinking at the time it would be useful but by the time my lad was born i'd had a kip/drink/watched films etc and forgotten nearly everything. As Richard said above the midwife will take you through everything you need to know Best of luck to you and your other half

I blame footballers. Look at Beckham, everytime you see him he's got a new barnet and looks like he wears guyliner. Not to mention the 'sarong'(skirt) wearing a few years back These are unfortunately the sort of people youngsters look up to. What happened to the likes of Micky Quinn and Terry Hurlock?
  10. Had a similar thing a while back. I got an email at work from myself (yahoo account) suggesting I visit a chinese website to buy some old tat. I have used facebook but not regularly and havent given my password so not sure what happened here. Only happened the once so haven't really thought much more of it until now
  11. Next Thursday for one shift
  12. Monty Python and the Holy Grail: French Soldier: You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, you sons of a silly person. I blow my nose at you, so-called "Arthur King," you and all your silly English K-nig-hts. Or French Soldier: I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I f**t in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. You can't help but read it with a french accent in your head! Genius
  13. Saw a programme on the Discovery channel a while ago about this, amazing to see these birds so high above the mountains and the distances they can cover in a short time. Worth a watch if its on again
  14. First time I gave blood I had this battleaxe of a nurse who had the touch of a bulldozer. Ended up with a beauty of a bruise and ached for days. Thankfully I went again and it was no problem at all. Been quite a few times now and it's a great thing you can do for others.
  15. When I was a kid I went to the beach at Sheerness and in amongst the shore defence rocks near the docks found what looked like a giant millipede. It was about 7 inches long and moved like lightning. Also when I was in the RN we found the nicely bloated body of a spanish trawlerman who had been swept overboard during a storm 4 or 5 days earlier. There were fish everywhere and when we got him on the flight deck it was clear why, they had certainly been busy
  16. I had sky+ for about 5 years and when my box started messing about Sky wanted to charge extortionate fees to fix it so we decided to go for Virgin V+ instead. Been with them for a couple of years now and still really pleased with them. You get HD for no extra fee, if my box screws up they send me a new one free of charge and the customer services have been great - I've got 2 under 5's and remote controls seem to be more appealing than the stack of toys they've got and i've had 2 replacement remotes free of charge I'm sure there's those with good and bad experiences with both companies but a thumbs up for Virgin here.
  17. 27% what a peasant! ^_^
  18. Got to agree with everyone else on this one, a relic from the past not good to see in this day and age. Judging by the size of some of the lard ****s taking part its probably the only way they get to shoot live pigeon without suffering a heart attack stomping over farmland. Also what is the bloke in the orange vest all about at 0:55? Could he possibly look any camper??
