Due to financial circumstances I am looking at having to downsize a bit, so I am looking at selling my trusty 2 Litre Petrol Frontera Sport. It is "M" registered, Taxed for nearly 6 months and has an MOT till 29th July 2011. I have had it for over 3 years of relatively trouble free motoring! It is in fair condition for its age but had been fairly well used. There are no dents or rust as such and the paintwork is relatively tidy - I will be Tee-Cutting it over the next few days (Weather permitting). OK, let's tell you the bad points first, and I will be as honest as I possibly can here! The milometer doesn't work but the speero does so I can not guarantee the milage but it is fairly high milage! The electronic central locking doesn't work but everything locks up with the key. The burgalar alarm has been disconnected as there was a fault which was playing about with the imobiliser. The electric motor on the pasenger side window is defective so the window does not open. The passenger window sometimes comes off it's runner - This can be cured with a bit of 2 part epoxy, I might even get round to doing that during this coming week. The Rear Tyres are good All Terrain type with plenty of miles left in them. One Front Tyre could do with replacing but I will allow for that in the price. The Stereo/Radio does not turn on but that just needs reconnecting to a supply as it ran through the alarm and stopped working when we disconnected the alarm. There might be a couple of very minor faults that I have missed and if I think of any I will ammend the post accordingly. It would benefit from a bit of a service. Now for the good points! She runs well and always starts first time. I have never had her stuck in the mud or snow, and believe me I have taken this motor in places where many of you would not dare to go! For a 4X4 she is not too uneconomical - I can get around 30 to the gallon on a run if I don't cane her and she doesn't use any oil or smoke! My insurance comes to just under £200 per year Fully Comp so not too expencive to keep on the road. The power steering, gear box and Transfer box is all fine and works perfectly in both 2 and 4 wheel drive. It is an easy and comfortable motor to drive. The seats and upholstry are in "reasonable" condition - I will however give it a thorough clean before I sell it. The front sun roof works fine. The rear section of the roof lifts off by just undoing 4 clips from the inside, making it a perfect shooting wagon. It has a factory fitted tow bar and all the towing electrics work perfectly. All the lights, indicators, hazzard lights, horn etc work perfectly as they should. I fitted new rear brake shoes for her last MOT along with a couple of new brake pipes. I have fitted new front brake pads a couple of weeks ago, so all of the brakes are in perfect working order. All seat belts are there and work perfectly. All in all the motor is reliable, safe and comfortable to drive and ride in. I will no doubt think of a few more things to add to this but any faults that I know of have been mentioned. I am asking around £600 as a starting point but I am prepared to haggle a bit and make an adjustment in the price for the tyre that could do with replacing (If I don't get round to replacing it before I sell it) The motor is well worth seeing and trying if you are after a cheap shooting wagon but please do not waste my time if you just want to come and act like a "Tyre Kicker", that will not go down too well with me!
