Frank
Any pics of the rifle and scope ect? Here you go... Start them young, thats what I say! Great photo mate My son is only 5 at the moment, a bit young, but he is well into it. he will be following me to the range in a year or 2. The yellow box of ammo looks intersting, what is it? How is the grouping coming on? Have you tryd another group since? Edited March 12, 2006 by Frank
fingersmuldoon
Its some unbranded military stuff... It was about £7 or £8 for 20 rounds. Just some cheapo stuff to give the rifle a quick work out.

I was told not to use military stuff in my CZ .223 as apparently it has high pressure? It was my rifle smith who told me, but im not too sure on this? The Magtech stuff was almost as reasonable, so I used up all of that sighting the rifle in. The rounds did not seem any hotter than the Horandy or Magtech stuff. The only thing I did notice was that they did not chamber as smoothly as the other stuff. Also, they used 55g FMJ's, so they stabalised OK as well. Contrary to what I have said in my previous posts, I think I am going to fork out for a loading press. Even at £15 per 20 rounds, thats going to cost me £375 a year if I shoot my estimated 500 rounds. Setting up the loading gear will cost about £100, so its will work out better in the long run. Anyone got any recommendations for loading gear suppliers?
fingersmuldoon
The annoying thing is, when the handgun ban came into force I sold all my reloading gear. I had a decent Lee progressive press, auto disc powder measure, auto prime, the works. Wish I had hung onto it. I have seen a full reloading set, O-Press, powder measure, set of dies etc, for about £110 or so, so I dont think its going to be that expensive. What I wouldnt mind is a bipod, any recommendations? Big Dog
Frank I have worked out why there is a bipod on the pistol. Its simple: - You get a guy to stand in front of you with their leg wide open so as to lower them down a bit. - Then you open the bipod, set a leg on each of the shoulders of the guy standing in front of you, looking like he has pis**d himself. - You then simple take aim and fire. - Important safety point: never wear a cap with one of those wee buttons on top, it may get blown off and or cause a ricochet
