mowdy
Try striping the bolt and checking that there is not crud fowling the slot that the pin floats in first as the build up of crud lightens the strike of the pin and can cause the light strikes. If you are just buying the rifle ask the owner for the spring seter as well (flat metal plate with a curved top which is used to help refit the main spring after cleaning the bolt )as most get lost but it makes reassembly a lot simpler.
