koikeeper
Hi there, Im curious as to why we all seem mad on white neck rings, wing bars on decoys? On floaters and open wing type they are ok,Been watching pigeons feeding on winter linseed where i walk the dogs, the only white on display is when they flap\fly,neck rings seem to be an alarm posture? Just wondered if we make it harder for ourselves
deny essex
Look at birds feeding in short crop from a distance , with their heads bobbing up and down the white neck flash can be seen easier than the head itself as they peck and lift their heads for a quick check around, with their keen eyesight says food to any of their passing mates from a considerable distance. A flock down with knecks outstretched and body more upright does suggest they a wary of something possibly set for takeoff.
