Home Insurance

It will depend,

If you want them covered for loss or damage then depending on the values yes you probably will.

Most home contents polices will cover any contents up to a limit, say £100 for example, and you then have to notify them of any other specific items that have a replacement value over £1000. Typically this would apply to jewellery, stamp collections or paintings for example but could include guns.

Its also worth checking what restrictions may apply to the damage of guns, I have seen policies which exclude damage due to internal explosion, i.e. blocked barrels – a pretty common type of damage.

I cannot se why any insurance company would not insure you if you have guns for buildings insurance for example but its worth a phone call to find out.
