12 Gauge Dave
Hey guys first post, so bear with me if it's a bit of a bone question here. I have recently put a deposit down on a Beretta 682 Supersport as I am awaiting my SGC in the post, it has 2 3/4" chambers and I was wanting to know if I can load 2 1/2" Cartridges as they are obviously shorter. Would this cause problems as I can get a deal on some Eley cartridges from a local dealer but they are only in 2 1/2". Cheers in advance for any replys 12GaugeDave. ColinF
Cartridges that are shorter than the chamber length are absolutely fine, it's just cartridges longer than the chamber that can't be used
wymberley
What Colin says and remember that the length of the cartridge relates to when it is open or fired - ie its total length.
Guest cookoff013
spot on replies, the 2,3/4" chamber is good enough, finding a decent non toxic shot may be an issue, but they are out there. if you are using the gun for clays and game it is a great tool for the job. the 682 should handle great.
