deny essex
After 4 years of use and abuse thought i would give the Hatsan drainpipe a good going over and check, all worked out fine and the wear and tear was much less than i exspected . Its never needed repair or any replacement parts and (touch wood ) shows no sign of needing anything in the near future. Just a word to those of you wanting to give your hatsan a spring clean, I removed the bolt buffer as it looked pretty cruddy around it , one screw to take out to remove it but what a Bl**dy fiddle to get back in, the metal face buffer plate is adheard to a plastic shock absorber with a small shaft extension that goes through a hole in the back of the reciever, which the retaining screw expands to hold it in place. Once the buffer is popped out of corse the plastic shaft extension is much larger due to already having been swollen by the retaining screw, after much curseing and swearing and warming the plastic shaft in boiling water to try and roll it smaller, a little lube and a push rod and it was back in. Dont think thats comming out again for another 4 years with luck.
