what am i doing wrong id been watchin a field with osr on it and couple of times there were about minimum 3000 woodies on there booked out the field and got a couple only what did i do wrong this was all in the same week. it wasnt as if i watched it one day then a week later watched again please help

Quite simple - most likely they're feeding elsewhere - has anybody been drilling in your area lately?

 

If so they'll clear off the OSR for a few days, but they'll be back on it when they've mopped up whatever's been drilled.

 

Have a drive around the area, look for birds flighting, then follow them to wherever - I'll bet you'll find some drillings.

The birds are still in large flocks so as soon as you shoot, they will be off and feeding on another field of rape. If you can keep them moving around you have more chance. Try to find where they are going after they have fed and set yourself up on the flight line :thumbs:

i think the problem is that you perhaps won't get a big bag of the rape now.

If you think about it they have seen every type of flapper,pecker and bouncer for months.

Thats why i think they all f off to other fields.

This is the time to use field craft.

Find were they are roosting,shoot bald patches with just decoys and us lofters in trees if there just sitting about.

O for the heady days of summer.
