darrin
Just received my first rotary (from the forum sponsers-next day delivery). Now I've been using floaters with the spike and wing spreaders with the clips but I'm not sure how you use the V shaped wing spreaders and the bent L shaped on the rotary arms to secure dead birds. Advice please.
Dave66
The arms should have a nice taper/point on the end. Put the v spreaders on the arm first with the two pegs sticking upwards. Hold the pigeon and position the end of the rod somewhere near its backside, then push the pigeon onto the spike so the rod goes between the breast bone and the guts, then feel for the rod as it gets near the neck of the pigeon, and press the skull onto the pointed end. Then open the wings and press onto the two pegs on the spreader, finally tightening the wing nut. After they have been on the rotary all day I usually save them for the ferrets. Cheers Dave

PhilR
I've got the Pro Motion magnet too but the ends of the magnet arms where the bird will sit doesn't have a point, like my bouncers do. What I've done is put the spreader on the arm, fitted the bird to the spreader using the wings and then shoved the blunt bent end part of the arm into the crop/neck of the pigeon.
