Pykie
Anyone ever used one of these? A Larsen trap without a section to put a call bird. I got one off a certain auction site to put in someones garden who had magpie problems, baited with a grass nest of eggs but after two weeks, no joy. Any ideas? mark@mbb
Hello mate get some weld mesh and add the half that is missing onto the trap you can make it a little bigger and put the call bird in the middle wouldnt take very long to do and really quite easy Mark
Cranfield
They might be a bit preoccupied at the moment, the traps are most effective just after the breeding season IMO. There is no reason the trap shouldn't work, we catch our call birds by baiting a standard Larson trap with some bread, so thats not really any different from what you are doing now.
