neil smith
Shield Shooting Centre in Dorset held a practical shooting match on Saturday April 16th in aid of the Help for Heroes Charity. The match consisted of both PSG & Mini Rifle stages, many required the use of both guns on each stage & had a high fun factor 96 shooters entered & 86 turned up on the day, the standards of safety demonstrated were excellent, so well done to everyone who took part. Shield is a partner club in the new four4islands match series & results for the Help for Heroes match & others in the series can be viewed at their website... http://four4islands.org/ Money is still coming in but early indications suggest a figure of £6000 raised for the charity. A great result, well done to everyone who helped make this a memorable event & well done Shield Shooting Centre. Being open to all shooters it's already proving a popular idea, lots of people were talking about it at the H4H match on Saturday & the guys tell me traffic to the four4islands website is really hotting up now that the forum is active on there. I support anyone who is trying to grow shooting sports at the grass roots level & good luck to them. N
