steve_b_wales
I want to fit a picatinny rail to my Tikka T3, so that I can fit my scope more forewards, to use in conjunction with my Cobra Merlin NV. The only problem I can see is that most rails on sale are for 11mm rails, and the rail on the Tikka is 16mm. Is there a weaver fitting picatinny rail available anywhere? Cheers Steve. Mr_Logic
I have the T3 Super Varmint/Tactical picatinny rail mounted atop my varmint. Amazingly, this accessory isn't a perfect fit on a normal T3. The super varmint has an extra lug somewhere on the receiver IIRC (it was a while back that I mounted it) which i can't use, but it still has the 4 action screws as per any other action, so works fine. I found on my Varmint that the 4 little screws already in the holes were so soft that I could not unscrew them, so out came the Dremel. 5 minutes later I had nice screw holes ready to screw into, easy peasy!
