Slip in or out

Maybe a silly question.

But is it ok to keep shotgun inside gun slip and inside gun safe as I have room to get it in, as I don't want get scratches and dinks getting it in and out of safe. I can understand it would be bad practice if slip is wet is there any other reason why this is a bad idea.

Thanks in advance.

you can get some pretty good anti-rust / anti-scratch thin slips for cabinets.

the main reason not to use a normal one is the moisture build up / damp from one that's been used in the field - it will cause rust.

Space is also sometime an issue - guns in cases take up more spaces.

but a nice clean one that is only used in the cabinet should be ok.
