HW100 new regulator - power loss.

Hi Rich, if you don't have a chrono, how do you know that it's lost significant power? Was it returned to you with a power reading? If so, what was it? I have a .22 Ultra pushing out 10.6/8ft lbs and this is perfectly sufficient for quarry out to 45ish yds.

As for the power increasing whilst putting some lead through it, yes, sometimes HW100's do. Can't you get any access to a chrony near you? RFD or gun club maybe?

regards

Chris

Hi Chris, the reason I know it has lost a lot of power is it won't even pierce a coke can at 10 yards, the pellet just dents it and we all know a HW100 should do so much more. The gun was chronod when bought at 11.5 fpe. I'm going to go back to the shop where it just got a repair, seems the only option atm as I don't have much knowledge in air rifles.

Thanks for the reply,

ATB

Rich

once they get it sorted itl be fine.the hw 100 is a top piece of kit.ive had rabbits at 48 yards with mine.i love it

I took it back and they chronoed it to 0.9 fpe :\ They're fast tracking it to the gunsmith so hopefully I will be out and about with it soonish. I've probably shot 1 full power mag since I've had it (24th April I purchased it) so I'm really eager to see what this gun can do compared to my SMK springer. I cannot wait!

Thanks for all the replies,

Glad to be of some sort of help Rich :) Once it's sorted you won't be disappointed by its performance. I've had mine 6 months now, and it shoots like a dream. Very pleased I got one :D
