Frank
6 inches at 200 I would stay away from that Russian stuff for starters. Get yourself a couple of boxes of sako 55 grain soft points, or Federal Nosler premium 40 grain or 50 grain ballistic tips instead. You will notice the group change at 200. Saying that, try as many different types of ammo as possible. Big Dog
Twist. I have heard someone taking their cleaning rod and cloth pads, putting the gun in a vice, taking a felt tip marker, setting the marker on the cleaning rod and holding it in one place while pushing the rod down the bore this transfers the riffling to the rod so you can count it yourself. If it works let me know.

mry716
Try Prvi Partizan ammo as at £26 per 100 it is just not worth reloading for field use and it is GOOD - very GOOD. The company used to make ammo making machinery and Lapua use their machinery so you can imagine if the ammo is up to Lapua standards nothing else stands a chance. the tests I have carried out show it to be in the top 10% of ammo quality. see Guntarder for results of quite a few calibres. By the way I also advertised on Guntrader For sale unfired Win70 Timney trigger - 3 way adjustment etc etc. £47.50 + P&P (No Offers) Cost at Sportsman £69.50 + P&P
Frank
I have found today as well for practice that Federal American eagle Full metal jacket ammo is very good and cheap.
deadeye ive
I have found today as well for practice that Federal American eagle Full metal jacket ammo is very good and cheap. Then get it in Hollow point and hunt with it then Frank If it's 1 in 12 twist rate mad dog then 55grn bullets are suppose to be ideally suited but it don't hurt to go lighter and in fact better results can be obtained . A 1 in 8 twist rate is faster enabling you to fire heavier loads, 70 grn for example .This twist rate would normally be suited to Target rifles . As for your info on this gun I can only go the google route like yourself but when you do find out at least you'll know the relationship between twist rates and bullets
