jason kaye
After a phone call from the gamekeeper on Saturday evening I finally managed to get out amongst the pigeons.Went to a small field of barley stubble sunday morning around 9.30 set up a dozen shells and a few full bodies, didn't look too promising ,but I thought it's better than been stuck in the house, took my eleven year old son with me with his sxs 20g (his first time out with a shot gun) after ten minutes or so the first birds started to trickle in and after a couple of misses and a bit of fatherly advice my lad had his first woodie in the bag a low incoming shot, and after few hours the birds decided to call it a day and dissapear, but had a great morning with my lad who had a grin on his face all day ended up with 25 in the bag(five to my lads gun)lost two in the wood behind us,my rape fields will be cut this week ,so roll on next weekend .
