They seem to work as well as all of the hype and i also used two floaters with dead birds on them. There were plenty of times that the birds flew across the top of us without even noticing. There was very little wind and im not sure if there was enough movement in the pattern. The theory is that you dont need a magnet with FUD's but was wondering if it might just get there attention?
