The birds seem to get used to them pretty quickly so I would leave them as they are.

I think the most humane way is to break its neck. One quick snap usually does the trick.

Im selling my BMW 320SE Tourer. metallic grey, 51 plate, 150k, lots of history, taxed and MOT'd, all the usual BMW extras, cruise control, full leather interior, alloys, multi func steering wheel, etc etc etc..... Great car but need to sell it. Priced to sell quickly, £3000.

I live in the sticks and have now got a rat problem. A guy came out to us and put some traps down. The traps are essentially sprung traps inside a plastic box which has the holes in each end. He also left me a key for them and a tube of attractant. Ive positioned the traps where i think they are going but to date have only caught two! I cant poison due to other animals. We have chickens which we keep in an old victorian style kennel, stone built with a door on it. Ive just put the chickens away to see a rat disapearing down a hole in the floor. Whats the best way to sort these out? There now tunneling into my polytunnel in the allotment. They just wont go into the traps. Suggestions please??

I'm thinking of having a go at roost shooting in a woods where I have permission. I've never done it before, only decoying. What's the secret please!!!!?

Economical and a sound car. Its got 140k on the clock but those that know about german engineering will know that its good for that again! MOT til June 2012, Tax til end of Oct. Selling to buy a 4x4, mayne Nivara or L200, would consider swap for right vehicle. Genuine car, no finance etc, all checks welcome. £3500 for quick sale!!

Interesting...... Just for info, It IS an offence to discharge a firearm within 50ft of a highway. The highway includes the footpath and the grass verge to the edge of the hedge. There is also an offence of causing a danger to roadusers, this can be a number of different things, but getting things (birds) to drop onto the road would fall into this. Anyone who shoots like the two people mentioned risk losing there licence and having shotguns confiscated. Bad advert to decent people doing there bit for the farmers.

Lots of food choice is alwats going to be a problem wherever you are. I find the same but i guess as long as your under a good flightline and there feeding its the best you can hope for!!

Im picking my new pup up in a few weeks, cant wait! I live in an old gamekeepers cottage with purpose built kennels and intending to put him straight in. No neighbours for half a mile so he can make as much noise as he likes. I think once you bring them inside they get used to it and will be harder to make the change later on. Just my opinion i guess, looks like a belter though!! Hope its still going well!

Most important is keeping still i think, yes the reflection on stuff will put them off but not as much as movement. Move too soon in the hide and there off!!

Ilive next to a roosting woods and it seems that there are fewer in there at the moment. Maybe due to the vast ammount of food available all around but defo less in the evenings.

Sounds like something that might put them all off but you never know! These birds are a funny lots, and im not just talking about the feathered kind!!

Yep, they will love the stubble but the rape even more when it starts to shoot! Happy days for you mate!
