Ferretboy111
Hey all Ive got a few hundred ducks coming soon and am debating whether to just release them onto the pond which has an island in the middle of it without a Pen- or bodge some pen sections up for them to start off in. I also have a large pheasant pen next to the pond which I've been debating releasing them into for starters. Most of the phezzies only come back to the pen too roost now at 12 weeks old. What do other people do? Suggest? Thanks A

ColinF
We just release ours straight on to the water. Make sure they have been on water at the game farm, otherwise their feathers may not have enough oil on to make them waterproof and they could sink
Ferretboy111
Hmmm still debating it- I'm a full time keeper and they will be hand fed- based near moreton in marsh. Will have to have a think, I'm most worried about a fox or mink killing alot. Do they need shelter also? A
Buster223
we usually put them straight onto the pond and they should be fine if your going to be near them every day
