discovery00
Hi, Looking for anyones knowledge of Nobel Sport GM3 in .410 reloading. It is half the price of SP3 and I was wondering how it would compare or if it is suitable for .410. Cheers
Andy H
Try Vectan A1 it's even cheaper.
Guest cookoff013
i dont want to rain on anyone parade but gm3 & A1 are very fast powders compared to sp3. whats the maximum payload for that powder? 9 grams? i know the .410 is great tool, but 9 grams? i dont know what the speed would be, but i dare say it would be "fast" use the proper powders, for ,410. you`ll get lower pressure and better speed, bigger payloads. snarepeg
I am using BLUE DOT,and have been for a lot of years, plus 700 catridges to a pound at 10 grains to 1/2oz of shot, i have used all the other 410 powders available but happy with this. john
discovery00
Cheers I think I'll stick with the SP3 in that case.
Guest cookoff013
I am using BLUE DOT,and have been for a lot of years, plus 700 catridges to a pound at 10 grains to 1/2oz of shot, i have used all the other 410 powders available but happy with this. john gm3 0.5grams, 7.7grains per 9gram cartridge, 2000 loads per kilo of powder. same again for A1, 0.5grams, 7.7grains per 9gram cartridge, 2000 loads per kilo of powder. 0.6gram tecna-n- 12 grams of shot, 1667 cartridges per kilo 0.65gram tecna-n 17 grams shot 1538 cartridges per kilo thats the difference between the powders. 2000 cartridges is a lot per kg, but not if its a severely limp cartridge. sp3, drives 1/2 shot to 5/8oz shot.... why limit yourself? Andy H
The load for A1 I have is 7 grains behind 12 grams of shot with a cx2000 primer ,Which gives 1200 fps in a plastic pt case with a cork wad or 1000 fps in a magtech all brass case ( subsonic).
