ilovemyheckler
having foolishly sold my air rifle (and pump)recently I am already looking at replacing it! Although I have chosen the air rifle (the same as the one I have just sold but .177 rather than .22) I am an undecided on the pump (I don't use it enough to warrant a dive tank set up) I had an FX 4 stage pump and it was great and easy to use and fill the rifle. However, is there anyone who has used both the FX 4 stage and 3 stage pumps? Is the 4 stage worth the extra £20 pounds? Thanks
Fat toad
Hi mate I'm nearly 60 and use a pump to pump up my hw100t it takes 200bar the first 180 is ok standing but you have to do the policemans knees down full weight to get the last 20 in I use a webley pump brought from ramsbottom eBay don't forget to let the pump cool down half way through filling I can fill mine up in about 15mins plus about 5mins for cooling I am also finding my upper body is fuming up and arm mussles more solid this is really helping with my standing shot he are no light weights hope this post helps you make up your mind Frank any questions just post me

nick2
I used to use a stage 3, and have tried a stage 4, its well worth the extra cash for the stage 4, its so much easier.

blasterjudd
Go for a Hill BSA 3 stage pump they really are the tops, fills mine from 100 bar in about 25 strokes, ok the last 10 are a bit of a push but do you get the knack!!!! My vote will always be for a Hill pump! Had a webley one off eBay there **** sent it back don't waste your valuable cash. Airgun centre @ Rayleigh will always recommend them and there spot on.......
