duck hunter Posted August 18, 2011 Report Share Posted August 18, 2011 wel not long now to go to the new season. have shot on lough neagh for a number of years but this is my 2nd year in a club seeing plenty of mallard at the shore. hide ready,decoys ready just feed feed feed. any other lough neagh shooters seeing many ducks? duck hunter Posted August 18, 2011 Author Report Share Posted August 18, 2011 thanks. the lough is definately not as good as it use to be but you still get the ducks like it helps if you feed you will get the mallard and plenty of teal on my shore. there is more and more geese coming every year.we have been chasing them last couple of yrs but hard 2 get at them but last year we got a good field they feed on shot a few hopefully get in2 it a bit earlier this yr. angrymallard Posted August 19, 2011 Report Share Posted August 19, 2011 I do enjoy shooting Lough Neagh at the beginning of the season however by Nov/Dec i get good shooting locally within 5 mins traveling as opposed to over 1 hours travelling, however getting close to the season i cannot wait to bag a few mallard and teal over the lough at first light, all the best AM....good shooting.
