First afternoon on my own

After Terry's expert tuition last week I ventured out on my own to one his permissions. I arrived at around half one and layed the decoys in the same pattern as we did when we were there the last time. For the first two hours the pigeons were Jinking off my pattern. I couldnt work out why so I decided to reduce the amount of decoys out there. It wasnt until I reached the last one I saw a length of white tape caught on some brambles flapping in the wind!. I returned to the hide and it wasnt long until the pigeons started coming. It took me a while to get my eye in but I ended up with 15 picked (by my dog) one of which was a wounded bird that landed in a near by wheat field.

I really enjoyed my self and pleased I managed to get everything set up by myself and it worked.

A BIG thank you goes out to Terry again for all his help and instruction and also for letting me use his permission. Just cant wait to get back out there now. This pigeon malarky is addictive!!

Well done Mark.

I will now have to cut the umbilical cord.

Your dog is very good and a credit to the schooling and training you have given her.

I can recommend Mark if you want your dog schooled well :good: .

Last week she went out, 2 hours after we had finished (she was not with us) and picked up birds we had lost in some deep crop, I don't know much about dogs, but I was very impressed.:yes:
