sandspider
Hi all A year or so ago I bought a Norica .410 3" magnum bolt action shotgun, partly for my girlfriend and partly for ratting and stuff. Then I fancied reloading 410 as the shells were so expensive for their size so I got some kit for that. However, gf never really got into shooting and I just tend to use one of my 3 12 gauges. So, I may as well sell the reloading kit, and the gun and some Eley fourlong shells will be up for sale shortly too. The reloading kit is designed to go into a stage 1 reloading press, but I've just used it by hand and it works fine. I tried it a few times and made some good shells, at a rate of about 30 an hour. (I'm sure with practice I could have done it faster, but it was all fairly new to me!) Kit contains: Nearly 1lb of Alliant 2400 powder (I've only made about 5 shells from this batch of powder, and each shell uses 11.9 grains so there's plenty left!) ~80 410 wads ~80 overshot cards Approx 1kg of 7.5 shot. (Again, I've made about 5 shells using this shot, so plenty left) ~ 75 Winchester 209 shotgun primers ~ 70 RWS shotgun primers (note - these are old, they came with the kit and I've never used them - don't know if they work). 2.5" roll over tool 2 x De-priming tool Case mouth chamfering tool Component seating tool (don't know what it's actually called) One powder scoop (throwing 11.9gr of Alliant 2400) One shot scoop (throwing 13.5g 7.5 shot) The mounting thing to hold a .410 cartridge in a stage 1 reloading press! A handmade powder funnel (works surprisingly well) And a tackle box to keep it all in! (See pic). I also have several hundred 3" shell cases (Eley, Lyalvale, Fiocchi and a few others) which I got with the intention of converting the kit to load 3" shells. Never got around to it. So, as said, it's a basic kit but makes nice shells - I used to use them on clays, or they make great ratting rounds / shorter range pigeon rounds. (I tested them on the head of a shovel at 20 yards and they were really whacking it!) I can demonstrate how to make these shells. (NB - you reload at your own risk; any load data should be verified, etc.) Very satisfying to make your own, and a decent saving over factory prices. The consumables alone for this cost me £50 (receipt to prove, mainly the powder which was £34) so I'm looking for £80 ONO for the reloading gear. I don't think I can post powder, so collection would be necessary. I'd rather sell as one lot, but may consider splitting. (If you want to buy the gun and the factory made shells too I'm sure we can work something out - but I'll do a separate ad for the gun, probably tomorrow now). Phew! If I've missed anything or you have any questions, please let me know. Oh, I'm based in Bristol but get up to West London fairly frequently. Can maybe meet within reason...
