New Computer

Last August I bought an Inspiron 9300 laptop from Dell, can't fault it so far, don't exactly know the specs but it works great for me

Had a Gateway yearrrrs ago which almost drove me to drink, had an engineer do 4 house calls (250 mile round trip each time) for a crappy cd drive. It eventually got fried when lightening hit the phone line, blew up the external moden and melted the motherboard  Don't dismiss Karma for computers ??? The only thing I miss about it is the 1,800 songs I had on it.

Another one of those people with too many 'puters!

My current machine is a bit of a compromise since the previous mobo fried itself - basically a rebuild from bits around the house:

mobo: Abit BE7

cpu: Intel P4 2.4 SL6DV

ram: 1024mb pc3200

vga: nvidea 5700 something 256mb

monitor: iiyama pro510 22"

Wacom a4 tablet

Theres a brother printer/scanner too & a nikon coolscan3 which has taken a dislike to xpsp2 so trying to get up the enthusiasm to rebuild another running 2k to make it work again.

We've another pc for the GF to use & me old laptop too & then about 2 or 3 more in bits.

At work I buy Dell's rather than build them up & they are very good these days. For my own bits I tend to use Scan.
