just taken delivery of a nice low milage disco 1 300tdi wich will shortly morph itself into our luxury lamp truck planning a 2 inch lift straight off whats the largest tires i could get on with no rubbing issues been offered some bfg at's for 80 quid each plus vat so im quite keen to get it shod quickly cheers chris

You can fit 235 x 85 x 16 or 265 x 70 x 16 which have the same rolling circumference . They are fine with a 2 inch lift but you still need to trim the arches you need to cut the back of the rear arch and the front bottom section of the front bumper . If you are unsure google disco camel cut and there are pictures .

Any larger than that and you need a 4 inch lift kit and that opens up a whole can of worms such as camber correction arms and large angle prop shafts and dislocation cones .

To be honest you don't need to fit any other size of tyre . I run 235x75x16 mud terrains on mine and I have never been stuck .I use it as my offroader and greenlane truck aswell .

cheers for replys i run a def 90 at the mo with 2in lift and 285/75/16 bfg muds and as the disco is a minter i dont realywant to be cutting arches e.c.t. i guess the 285s will stay on the 90 for now i wil lhave to tell the missus it needs new bfg at tires or i could hurt myselt
