Mr Potter
Post code for Kegworth is DE74 2GA I was there today and would recommend the shoot to anyone, IMHO it is one of the best English Sporting shoots I've shot this year. I didn't do it justice finished on a very disappointing 76 but my myself & my mate reckoned we could do a 90 if we'd shot it again. Every stand looked tough but not impossible and a good mixture of targets. Most of the rangier crossers were showing face to give you a chance, a report pair of rabbits (they didn't need 3' of lead honest ), two stands had simo pairs and good use of different types & sizes of targets. Only slight gripe was two stands with a simple going away bird from a trap next to the shooter, admittedly on one stand it was a mini and on the other it was one of a simo pair. I'll be interested to see what you thought of it Ed (I assume you're shooting it B/H Monday) When we left an 88 was winning and a very well known Welsh shooter had carded a 86. I think it should be won with a 93/94. as I said there was no stand you looked at and thought "how the hell do I hit that!" more "that looks interesting - lets give it a go" So any Pigeon Watcher thinking of shooting tomorrow, give Kegworth a go, you wont be disappointed with the targets. EdSolomons
Yes I saw Martin at barrow and he said it was about 93/94. (he also shot grange too- then had a 5hour track home!) I'll shoot it tommo before the Sarah doughty memorial at Orston, looking forward to it! Ed
