hunters_return
Hi guys, Just thought i would share my days experience with you. I have been looking for a couple of young ferrets for the last couple of years and thanks to S.L.H ferret rescue, I picked two adult Gills up 3 weeks ago. I picked up twenty nets and a box at the Midlands game fair and a new mk3 finder. Well, Today they had their first outing, After 20 years not ferreting, I was a bit rusty to say the least and I didn’t know if the ferrets were good workers or not. We arrived at a friend of a friends, garden and the warren was really big (I wanted to start on a small one first off). Netted all the holes, 19 in total, ferret out the box, collar on, and she was straight to work. Had a fun few hours out in the sun, both girls worked really hard and was only let down by my net placement. Total rabbits bolted 7 Total rabbits in the bag 4 Not bad for a first outing. Ferretertom
sounds like a good day, when your ferreting for a hobby its not all about big numbers of rabbits as long as you enjoy it.
