TGEvans
Hi guys, need some info please! Right then, I use an Old Lanber 12 bore o/u for all my rough Shooting. Its great, but need some info on shooting steel shot for the geese and ducks. The chokes at the moment are half and three quarter, I have been told that the three quarter would not be suitable for steel shot. Could someone explain to me what I would need ideally and also best place to get two suitable chokes. In my head I am thinking that I should be using two half chokes and use that for everything but will listen to peoples opinions. The rating of the gun cartridge wise is up to 70 mm if that makes any difference, Tim.
yankeedoodlepigeon
No more than 1/2 with steel in. 1/2 N 1/4 if you have them.
TJ91
I would use 1/4 in both barrels if I were you. And don't use any bigger than size 3 shot if it doesn't have fleur de lys symbol..just to be on the safe side.
