turbo33
Never used the whole kit before, just the ccl oil, which imho is the best finish you can do on locks and stocks. If you have a varnished finish, strip it off with nitromors and a tooth brush for the chequering, rinse off and allow to dry. Use your preffered stain colour and allow to dry thoroughly. Rub the wood over with some very fine steel wool to remove any raised fibres. Grain sealer should now be applied and left to dry. Gently rub down again with steel wool. Put some ccl oil in the palm of your hand and rub this in to the wood with enough pressure to generate some heat. Leave to dry off. Repeat this process untill you have the desired depth of finish. If the stock/lock is already an oiled finish, just a gentle wipe over with wire wool and repeat the oil process. 24 hrs between each section is a good time to allow. Hope this helps
