browning n spaniel
Fellow pigeon boys, can you settle this arguement for me? My mate refuses to to get to the chosen field and set up before 10 am on the day were going to shoot it, He says by doing this it gives the birds time to feed and settle before we start shooting, Me on the other hand likes to be there and set up by 8 ish Whats anyone elses thoughts
rubythedog
for me if the birds are feeding early in that feild ill be there b4 them! doing it the other way you risk scaring the whole lot off! dont forget these birds have by now been well shot at so will be very edgy. TJ91
I get there and get set up in time to have a swig from the flask and a fag before the first birds arrive.
woody4x4
Me n my mate set up in dark, so were ready for the first feed, the pigeons see our pattern an think its safe to join em.. If we have done our home work and seen what field they want the day before then we seem to get a good few hours shooting in.. But someone we know swears by the 10am start...
