rabbit_stu
Hello! My sister has brought me a knew knife for my 21st next month and i quite like the idea of having it engraved as I don't intend on replacing it any time soon. It's a stainless steel, titain ium coated blade. Two questions... Is it too hard to have engraved and will it cause me any problems with corrosion or weakening. It's just going to be small writing along the top edge. Thanks stu
JJsDad
If its stainless, as you have suggested, it wont corrode. However, depending on the grade of stainless and the hardening/tempering; I would have thought it could prove difficult to engrave by hand. An engineering firm with a laser engraver might be a better bet. Have a look around the web, bound to be someone who can give you a profesional view.
