Evil Elvis
On our syndicate shoot yesterday it was still too warm, 19c, the birds didnt want to fly, I managed 1 pheasant(the only one that came near high enough to shoot me!) and 4 pigeons. Bagsey had shot 1 pigeon all day until the final drive, a partridge virtually scalped him, he swung round and shot the partridge up the jacksy and down it went, Billy( his springer) went shooting off after it, as he got to it, it decided it wasnt dead and ran round in a circle followed by billy, as it ran round it lifted off the ground by about 2 feet still hotly persued by Billy, at this point the bird began to gain momentum and was up to 3-4 feet, so Billy did what it said on the tin and sprung up and snatched it from the air. You had to be there, but had any birds flown over me me at the time I wouldnt have been able to shoot them due to the tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks.....CLASSIC!!
