Frenchieboy
I decided to "bite the bullet" and take a chance on having a walk about on the new permission where I have been asked to "deal with a few foxes"! The fog in the valley seemed to have cleared up so away I went hoping to "suss out the lay of the land" and do a land assessment. Unfortunately whe new permission is right up at just about the highest part of this area and is notorious for it's fog and low cloud cover. I had my small pocket camcorder (Very poor quality but not to worry, i have a new HD camcorder on its way) and decided to do a short video to show how changable the weather can be in this neck of the woods. Like I said, the video quality is not very good but it will show you what I am up against some times around here!

Frenchieboy
You are so tight there Andy! Where this was filmed I have over 2,000 acres of permissions and it is some of the highest ground in the area. It can be as clear as a bell when I leave home in the lower part of the Rossendale Valley but as you climb up the hill it is often like hitting a wall of fog. I have even known times when you can drive on to the top and get above the fog which then makes it look like you are above the clouds. Mind you, when it is clear there are some stunning views! With fog like this it is pointless and bl00dy dangerous even thinking about getting a gun out of it's slip! Oh well, there;s always another day!
