Sco77w
went to try out my new (to me) shotgun on the clays today and quite enjoyed it. How much more civilised is it not spitting spent cartridges all over, having them twang off the frame of the stand. my scores were comparable to what I shot the last time out with the auto which surprised me and I didnt really notice a massive increace in felt recoil using the same 28g carts I use in the auto. I feel happier about investing a bit of time and money tidying it up a bit.

Sco77w
I see you are well on the path to enlightenment then Yes, I really did enjoy shooting it. First thing I want is a new end bead (new thread started) and then do away with the varnish, and oil the wood work. I think I'll do the auto first to try out stripping and oiling as I know I can get a new standard varnished or synthetic stock and forend for £100. I think replacement wood for the beretta will be a lot more.

I've sent a request for an extimate thro their website. Also asked for a but pad fitting as I feel a bit bruised after mondays outing (softie semi-auto shooter). I think it could be as bit costly tho, I only paid £640 for the gun withh choked and a slip and I'm already looking at having to shell out £3 ona new front bead :o (snint Yorkshireman)
