  1. 1. Do you take your dog(s) to Country Fairs? If so would you consider having a Dog portrait taken?

    • Yes
    • No
    • Only if it's printed on the day to take away
    • Don't mind it being posted after the event
    • Would prefer it to be posted after the event.

Hi folks,

Just a little bit of market research required if you have a minute please to complete the poll.

My day to day job is a professional photographer and I was just wondering how many folks on here take their dogs to country fairs, and if so would you consider having your dog's portrait taken?

If so, would you want a print on the day or would you be happy to have it posted to you?

We've been considering a stand at the fairs but wondered if there's the interest.

Negative replies welcomed as well.

Thanks folks.

wat you thinking of chargeing cause you can get them done at tescos on to anything you like my mate got a massive pic

of his x2 labs on a canvas style thing at tescos about 6x4ft for 80 quid looks really impressive

For event stuff printed on site we have done in the past we have charged £10.00 for an 8x6 print which comes in a mount, including the taking of the photographs.

Tesco's are only charging for reprints, we actually take the pics, I know they do cheap reprints though. Unless we print on site using our mobile event printer we use pro labs only.

We also do canvas prints at reasonable rates but we obviously charge for the sitting as well.

i have voted post after event , but can i add

please post after the event but let me take away a good proof .

i cant think of a bigger waste of money than having a large photo ruined by all the baggage you aquire at a show .

can you take credit cards at a show ?

adi

I know where you're coming from re carrying the pics around, that's why we'd offer a postage service. Also we'd be restricted on the size we can print on site due to the size of the event printer.

We can take most types of payment, cash cheques, credit cards, Maestro, paypal.

As a fellow photographer, you might well be able to get enlargements done at Tescos, but only if you've taken the photo youself (otherwise it becomes a copyright issue!) When you use a professional, you will get a far better result - down to equipment and experience. Oh and yes, you might well have to pay for his abilities as well! :P
