FOXHUNTER1
We had a look out last night to a piece of ground which only consists of 5 fields but both times previously has produced 2 foxes, last night was no exception.. 1st field lit up a pair of eyes in far hedge but unsafe shot , this fox was huge and he just sauntered away into the wood below. On lamping along the edge of the wood I lamped back at where we had just come from and there was another fox but again the shot was unsafe. We managed to sneak up on it but as we closed the distance it decided to trot up a fenceline towards us , my mate was ready on sticks as it came to around 70 yards. I tried everything to stop it but it must have been deaf as it just carried on without offering a shot Next field I called for around 5 minutes and eventually a vixen came screaming out of the wood which my mate dispatched at around 40 yards We went back to the last field where the other fox was deaf and I called another vixen in close So off only a small piece of ground we took 2 vixens and still some left.... 3 times lamped and 3 times took a brace

grasshopper
Nicely done Mark Had similar on Tues, called 1 in just after dusk, but it didn,t like the Fox-Pro caller, wouldn't stop and no shot. did have 3 hares running in and out from the caller, think it may have beeen the jack in the box decoy that was amusing them. Farmer told me some duck shooters on part of his land had set up around the pond and only thing that showed was a fox. We spotted it some 350yds away and had managed to get in front of it,set up the caller and call it out,she circled wide around and came right up to the wall the caller was on some 50yds up from us,couldn't see her as i was behind the same wall..luckily she popped back out after i switched the call off.Vixen too. The duck shooters pushed a bank of winnies off next afternoon and shot another vixen..this was only 200yds from where i shot her...ducks should be safer now as i sat at the pond last night and nothing showed.
