deputy dog
Been looking at Swarovski scopes an i came across the video where they show you the setting up an zeroing of their ballistic turrets. Though it all looked impressive an time saving, i did notice that the video did repeat the same shot twice, before an after the zeroing. Which to be made me feel like it was all a bit dishonest as they didn't really show down range at the targets at their different ranges :hmm: :hmm: As any one on here got a Swarovski scope with ballistic turrets and do they genuinely work as they say in the video or are they a gimic thats not very good or worth the extra money. Any feed back lads would be great, as don't want to waste money in buying some thing which is of no use out n the field. DD
coyotemaster
I don't have any experience with Swarovski but have ample experience with turrets. I use them extensively when shooting coyotes and the biggest factor is repeatability or the reticle returning to original zero. Some scopes are better than others and I am sure Swarovski has a good mechanism inside. I use the Bushnell 4200 Elite and it performs flawlessly up and back. A good test to assure that it goes where it is supposed to is put it on the bench and shoot one hole go right 12 clicks shoot again go down 12 shoot again left 12 shoot again up 12 and it should be back to the original hole or close as the gun permits. Some Elcheapos tend to jump around ie. not move at all then bounce 3-4 clicks at once, you for sure do not want this. In conjunction with your turrets you will find a really good range finder invaluable and a working knowledge of gaugeing wind velocity.helpful. It will extend your range out to about 400 yds without having to guess at holdover etc.. Crtainly not a gimmick but then, I had one on my Z6i and never used it. It's rare to be shooting deer beyond 200yds and my scope was set up to point and pull at any range up to that so a bit redundant..
