darren m
i,ve noticed this before and sometimes have to stand still until my dog as marked me (so to speak) . but other day was out beating in woodland , very heavy cover the dog was working well though a few more yards in front than i would of liked , but she was on the scent and finding birds . anyway i call back and she comes in my direction but looks confused as to where i am and then goes and latches on to the next beater in line , i had to stand still and call to her several times before i was spotted. i,ve noticed this before with both my bitches , we all wear green coats and hats etc and looks like thier having some confusion in picking me out amongst the other dozen or so. so do any of you wear anything different etc so that your dogs can identify you straight away thanks

WGD
I normally have a curry the night before, the dogs know which aroma cloud to head for
kent
I doubt even a big flag will help, you might just possibly have other issues as regards recall. When the dog comes back in what do you do? stop the hunt? put it on a lead? reward it? send it off in another direction? look at it from the dogs point of view. What do the other people do who are approached by your dog? give it a fuss? Its a wild stab in the dark without watching it a few times, but if the dog goes to someone else (who is maybee closest) gets a fuss on your recall then continues with its hunt are you realy suprised? straightbarrel
Wouldn't worry about it, just a it of confusion, as long as the dog seeks and finds you with a bit of help. Have a look at 1 min
