chesterjester
I have a Lincoln FAIR 20bore shotgun that has developed a cosmetic problem, not functional. The metal-guild covering the action has started to peel off in areas which rub (i.e Under the lever, between the action and barrels, and now around the firing pins). This is really annoying as I thought the action was solid metal? Anyway, I was hoping to contact the manufacturer to discuss, but I understand Lincoln shotguns are imported?? Does anyone know how to contact them?? Any help is gratefully recieved!
HDAV
John Rothery i think are now importers of lincoln from FAIR in italy, but under UK law contract is with retailer, http://www.fair.it/indexeng.jsp Edited December 20, 2011 by HDAV
chesterjester
Does that mean that I have to contact the shop where I bought the 2nd hand shotgun, or should I still try to get help from the manufacturer??? Thanks Mate!
HDAV
I would contact both but the manufacturer are under no obligation to you. How old is it? Put some pics up plenty of knowledgable people who may be able to help
chesterjester
http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m484/chesterjester/DSC02718.jpg[/img] http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m484/chesterjester/DSC02716.jpg[/img]http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m484/chesterjester/DSC02711.jpg[/img] Finally learnt how to add photos! Basically, the thin layer of metal covering the action has started to peel in a few places? It has peeled: 1) between the action and the barrels? 2) underneath the lever? 3) around the firing pins? I have today sent emails to the manufacturer and the UK importer. But, has anyone seen this before? chesterjester
Just heard back from John Rothery, the importers, who want to arrange to collect and inspect the shotgun. Hopefully some news soon?
