steve_b_wales
I've just bought the above lamp/torch, to use with my rimfire rifles. I'm well impressed with it. The kit comes with all fittings, and has a rechargeable battery, so no need to lug 12V batteries around. It's advertised as having a range of 125 metres, but I tried it last night, and managed 157. This was done from my back garden, shining it towards the woodland behind my house. If anyone is looking for a small compact lamp/torch, then I would recommend this model. It could easily be used with centrefire rifles as well. Filters are available, and I have made an IR filter to try it with my NV. Cluson Engineering are an excellent company, in my opinion, and produce some brilliant( pun not intended ) products.

SilentKill
Ive got 2 Cluson's and found them to be very reliable and more than capable when used with the .22 or .17 HMR. I also use them both whilst on duty! handy for area searches or directing OSCAR99!

I'm looking for a better IR flashlight for my Pulsar N550. I bought the optional Pulsar IR light and I'm not impressed with it. Looking for a better solution. Got my doubts that a LED lamp will have enough red spectrum light to work with an IR filter but it would be great if they have. Please let us know how you get on. I use a Cobra Merlin with DSA, on my .243. For added IR 'light' I have a Blaserlite lamp with a dedicated IR filter attached. This set up allows me to identify quarry up to 250+. I have tried the filter that I made (cut some IR sheet to shape) and have looked through my Cobra Merlin while the torch was switched on. I reckon I could see about 50 yards, so would be ideal for rabbits/rats. Be careful where you buy IR filter from. Some on the market are not suitable for the NV equipment that most of us use. I bought my IR sheet from a company called Alana Ecology. Steve.
