ghughes
I've since found out it was made in 1974 by Laurona. Were these sold in the UK? Does any one have one, or know if there is a weak point (parts I should look for). Is anyone familiar with Laurona from the mid 70s, opinion good bad indifferent? I just swapped a rifle for one in very good condition, shot very little. Anybody know an accurate value? As I'm in Canada, our bluebook has a couple ranges but says due to limited import they can't put an accurate value on it (range $550-650 or $800-900 US in new condition). Thanks, Gary

Claytons Guns
Hi Gary I own a winchester model 91, i've not been able to find any info for it on the net, but if it helps, i paid £275 for mine second hand. I love it, it shoots great, i've put at least 10,000 rounds through it and not had any problems at all ( It even won me our club shotgun comp !! ) If you have any info for the model could you forward it to me. Hope this helps Steve I thought i was the only one with one of these shotguns.
tosspot
i had one of these a few years ago it was ultra reliable fired many thousands of rounds through it including the dreaded Record/Baikal variety it never missed a beat and the barrels even stayed pit free look for pitted pins though and check the fore end for cracks in the wood up the sides a great gun for general use
ghughes
Thanks guys, I think mine has had less than 250 round through it. While at the club for the second day today, last shot and the gun wouldn't fire! When I took it apart i found the safety was sticking, I hope a quick lube puts an end to this. Seems to be a very nice gun. Thanks again, Gary
tosspot
if that dosn't work check the bites even a small amount of poop can stop the gun closing properly and therefore not fire excuse me if i sound patronising but the bites are the recess at the bottom of the breech fiddly to clean, i used to use a long thin knife tip and as i am a mucky pup i used to have to do this quite regulary
