help with selling rabbits

we dont have a game dealer here in shetland so 99.9% of the rabbits shot here are wasted, which i hate, but the rabbits have to be shot as they are a huge problem almost every where on the isle. i was looking in to shipping rabbits south to a game dealer like they used to years ago, i.e when my dad was a boy. i am wondering if any of you guys could recommend a game dealer that you sell rabbits too that i could contact and see about shipping rabbits down too. also, how much do you get per rabbit? my dad used to send rabbits down to bookless brothers in glasgow but i am not sure if they are still on the go. the last i heard about bookless brothers was that they would send up a chilled container but would only do it if you could guarantee 500 rabbits, which could be done with a few guns. any help or ideas on my plan would be much appreciated, thanks in advance, aister.

I would imagine lots of food hygene laws will be incurred. They will probably not make it worth your while.

I am a hgv driver and to move a container certainly would cost to much. A refrigerated van would be your only option. Typically a rabbit will earn you probably 1 pound each at a bulk rate max, that's with the rabbit fully prepared. 500 rabbits would earn you 500 pounds minus cost of van and ammo you will have carry little money left over.

The rabbits I sell range from 1.50 - 3.50 depending on butcher fully prepared.
