Mick Shaw
Hi Anybody loading for 28 gauge and if so what cases do you get the best loading life out of. I am shooting Eley VIP's and I am thinking of reloading for my 28 and using these cases. olddogfox Hi The best 28 gauge cases are Winchester (if you can afford them) Fiochi and hull load well, but eley VIP load poorly, more so the first load. I have managed between 6 & 8 loads from each case, by then on the Fiochi the base wad has lifted and has to be re-seated before you re-load, Some of the Eley have splits along the length, the petals split on all by the 8th time, I then trim down to 60mm and role crimp for one more load. Hope this helps. Mick. PM me if you have any more questions.
