Catweazle
Yep-you got me there Richard-that standard of workmanship belongs in the past-I could have done better with a Die Nut.If I was offered a gun like that I would refuse to even consider it-shame on you Air Arms. You wouldn't have seen the thread, it's hidden under the muzzle weight that also holds the detent ball for the underlever. As such, the finish doesn't really matter. All the parts you can see are perfect and it's one of the best springers ever made.
richard1951
Well lads I think this has been one of the better discusions , And i also think most of us agree with the majority of the points , at the end of the day it is a personal thing weather you do it one way or the other, and there is no disputing the fact that CAT is a engineer that knows what he is doing and has done a cracking job on the rectification of poor work that left the company, i also think/hope that is not the stndard that they usualy turn out and it is a friday pm gun . i think there guns are good ,i know i pull them to bits at every oppertunity and will continue to do so but it is not the product but the attitude that they have to potential customers, Richard
richard1951
Got that last bit wrong it was dekers that is the enginer that did the job on the gun and Cat that thinks that so long as it cant be seen any shoddy workmanship is acceptable lol
