PhilR
We've got an old railway embankment that runs across our shoot pretty much East to West on the North side of it there's a strip of the field roughly 400m long by 12m wide that isn't cultivated as it's a bit boggy. Is there any game cover crop that we could plant there that would survive? The field at the moment is sown with winter rape over wheat, it may go to grass after this year's harvest. There's livestock on the farm - sheep and a beef cattle herd which may be turned out onto it so it needs to be animal friendly.
