Martini-action underlever £230 12 gauge Shotgun Private Seller Used - Excellent Condition Gainsborough, Lincolnshire Single Shot, Multi Choke, -, 30" barrels Description One of the rarer Multichoke Greener single barrel shotguns, excellent condition for 49 years old, very few marks, I think fairly priced for such a tidy gun. It will of be of interest to you that your gun is a Martini action (Which in for all effective purposes can be called a Falling Block action), and is not a Lever-action as stated. It's pretty confusing as the gun's action is worked by a lever underneath, but that's just the world of firearms for you. Many thanks Andrew. The action was invented by Friedrich von Martini, of Switzerland. Where the confusion lies is that 'Martini-Henry' rifles were Martini Action rifles fitted with barrels featuring Henry rifling (designed by Alexander Henry).
